Innovative fabrication-equipment for railway
Toyota Tsusho Europe has recently completed the supply of welding-stations for the fabrication of urban railcars. It has been installed at the plant of a leading multinational manufacturer of rolling stock (light- and heavy-rail) in Austria.
By this equipment, the efficiency, flexibility and ergonomics of the production has been significantly improved. The welding-stations are arranged in two separate lines with several stations each, which are partially automated. One focus of the design was to allow the fabrication of various railcar-variants by standardized equipment.

Our customer has expressed his great satisfaction with the new welding-stations, by which he has doubled the output of railcars.
The complete design and layout, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the equipment was handled by Toyota Tsusho Europe (Machinery Division) in cross-border collaboration.
